The Vegas Diaries Part. 1

So I went to Vegas. I hit the buffet…hard. I enjoyed the regional beverages of Nevada (Jagerbomb slushies anyone?) and I ate a lot of steak. Here is the photographic evidence.

I think this photo was taken about 10 minutes into our arrival at the Paris hotel. I wasted no time (see what I did there?).

My Birthday Dinner at Mon Ami Gabi

The youngin’s in the group wanted a photo before we stuffed our faces, so after ordering we quickly ran out in front of the hotel for a little shoot, mainly because we had the foresight to know we were about to eat everything… ever.

Mon Ami Gabi was a French restaurant I found online for my birthday dinner. It also happened to be in my hotel which made life that much easier and awesome. To put the cherry on my birthday cake, they had a gluten-free menu with actual gluten-free bread and not just a list of salads without croutons. Here is the pate and GF toast, accompanied with grainy mustard, olives and pickles. Rocked my little socks (actually, I was wearing heels that night).

(Hahahaha I just noticed the chip on the table. We gambled beaucoup as well. It was a trip of vices, I tell ya).

And here is the pièce de résistance, Steak Frites with Bernaise Sauce. Oh. Dear. God. It was too good. I think they grated the potato and then fried them as they were more like perfect little potato chips. Heavenly. The steak was perfect and tender and I clogged my arteries further by finishing off the sauce. I love being on vacation.

The meal defeated us and we didn’t have dessert but I more than made up for it in the next few days.
